Frequently Asked Questions
How does online tutoring work?
Online tutoring is no different than tutoring in-person. Everything that is done in-person can be done online (sometimes faster than in-person). All that you need for online tutoring is a stable internet connection and a device that can supports video calling. If you have those two things, you are ready for online tutoring.
How much does it cost for tutoring?
I charge based on how many sessions are needed and how often they are needed. I offer payment plans for those looking for long-term tutoring on a per-month basis.For long-term tutoring, I charge for sessions on the 1st of the month at that rate. If a student joins after the 1st, the sessions will be charged at a pro-rated amount, and then the normal rate will be charged on the 1st of the following month.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you are not able to make a session, please request a change in time for the week at least 24 hours in advance. If you are unable to do this and miss a session, the session will still be charged. While I am lenient up to 3 times because I understand that things happen, I always put the responsibility of rescheduling in the parent's hand. All you need to do is contact me, and we can set up a different time. If no contact is made, then it is charged as if we had the session. There are no exceptions to this.
It is really important to start and end on time. If you show up late, it usually will not be possible to make up that time.
